We founded Earnest in 2018, starting with microbe-based composting for healthier soils.  From there, we began discovering and isolating microbes from native prairie lands — building a proprietary microbial catalog from some of the most resilient ecosystems in North America.

In 2022, we pivoted from soil amendments to seed coatings, delivering biology exactly where it matters: on the seed. In trials, our coatings outperformed leading biologicals by 45%.

Now in 2025, we’re rolling out at scale — with today’s seed coatings and tomorrow’s planter box treatments, all built to simplify and improve farming.
